Dear National Liaison Officers, Counterparts and Focal Points of Project RLA9085,
I am pleased to inform you that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing the Regional Training Course on Safety Assessment for Industrial and Medical Facilities and Activities, to be held in Mexico City, Mexico,
from 14-18 October 2019, under the framework of Project RLA9085 “Strengthening Regional Capabilities for End Users/Technical Support Organizations on Radiation Protection and Emergency Preparedness and Response in Line with IAEA Requirements”.
The purpose of the event is train participants on safety assessment of industrial and medical facilities using specific assessment tools.
The attached Information Sheet provides further details, including technical and administrative aspects of the course and instructions on how to submit nominations. Selection of participants will be in accordance with IAEA procedures.
The IAEA will provide non-local participants with a round-trip air ticket based on the most direct and economical route between the airport nearest the participant's residence and Mexico City. Travel details will be agreed with the participants upon receipt of their official nomination. Participants will also receive an allowance from the IAEA sufficient to cover their costs of lodging, daily subsistence and miscellaneous expenses for the duration of the course in line with IAEA rules and procedures.
To initiate the corresponding actions, we kindly ask to submit the appropriate forms through the InTouch+ platform as soon as possible and no later than 5 June 2019 under the reference EVT1705761.
